About Ascent
How Ascent started
In a living room in 2008. Here’s the rest of the story, what we believe and who leads us.
Our story
Fourteen people and a keyboard
Ascent started in 2008 in Jordan and Kim’s living room, with fourteen people and a keyboard that only played in two keys. A year later we rented the gym at Ridgeview High. The first campus on Summit Parkway opened in 2013, and four more followed, each in a part of the region where people were already driving in.
Every Sunday at every campus still starts with the same short prayer that was prayed in that living room: “God, do what only you can do.”
